About Kieran
Hello! I am in my final year of medical school at Texas A&M, currently applying for residency programs in Diagnostic Radiology (5 additional years of training). I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering, and I found my love for math/science to be invaluable during medical school. I have been a tutor in a number of different settings, both in the US and abroad. In medical school, I had the wonderful opportunity of tutoring the first-year students on anatomy and even assisting with the dissections in the cadaver lab! I absolutely love to teach about medicine, math, science, and even some basic computer science.

Students learn best when they see information presented in a number of different ways. The style of teaching I find most helpful and effective is using plenty of visual aids and really explaining the core concepts behind the information. Tying in examples of these concepts in real-life situations also helps with memory. While it is great to memorize things, especially in medical school, truly learning and understanding the concepts leads to longer-term retainment.
