About Erik
I am a third-year medical student at UNC-Chapel Hill who served previously as a Peer Instructor of Human Anatomy and Physiology as an undergraduate at UNC-Chapel Hill, where I graduated with a BS in Biology while obtaining academic minors in Chemistry and Spanish for the Medical Professions. After working as an EMT for some time, I entered medical school and served as a Biochemistry TA for the UNC MED Program. I am now serving as a TA in medical school, helping other medical students understand the complexity of their coursework.

I take a personalized approach with each student to understand their unique strengths and weaknesses before jumping to the material.
A typical lesson is virtual and will occur on an individualized frequency, unique to each student's level of need. During each session, I discuss with the student the keys to success for understanding the material itself in addition to effective test-taking strategies.
Classes are oriented towards individuals taking high-school level classes, undergraduate courses, and postgraduate courses.
I enjoy understanding each student's overall goal in undertaking the coursework in order to provide them with a holistic teaching approach of not just the material itself, but also towards career advice for pre-medical students.
I have been very successful in providing application advice to pre-medical students as I have worked with the UNC School of Medicine Admissions team as an interviewer.
