A Medical student with a passion for Teaching and Learning

I am writing to recommend Jasper for a tutor position. I have worked closely with Jasper over the last few years at a specialist inpatient unit for individuals with Learning Disabilities. Jasper was a Health care assistant and worked closely with patients. Jasper was great at adapting his working styles for all patients and is well respected and liked by patients and staff alike.

As an employee, Jasper was always committed to his work, punctual and friendly and professionals towards other professionals, the general public, staff and patients. He has shown his ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a wide range of patients, especially during challenging situations. He is able to adapt his communication skills to each individual patient, in a way that they could understand. Therefore, with this I believe Jasper will make an excellent tutor by being able to explain difficult concepts and making it simpler to his fellow tutees. Jasper also collaborates effectively with outside agencies, other professionals, staff, family members of patients and the general public as required.

In addition, he is an organised individual, empathetic and very enthusiastic when it comes to work. I’ve always put a premium on these qualities among my team members and Jasper has never failed to deliver.

Jasper is a delight to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again.

When I met Jasper, it was at the beginning of our degree at Cardiff University both studying BSc Biomedical Sciences. He is a very motivated individual who has a passion for both learning and teaching. He took pride in his work and even took his own time to explain difficult concepts to us during group work and study time. He has helped me and many others with our studies in a variety of ways, especially with how we approached our work. For instance, he is persistent, doesn’t give up easily and has a very positive outlook on things, which I believe what many students needs, specially with amount of pressure they all faces during school.

During the time I’ve known him, Jasper has been active in our social group and was involved in many societies during university. He is a very approachable individual and easy to communicate with. He’s had many successes during university, including being recognised and awarded with having the ‘best dissection group’ out of the whole cohort, during our anatomy module. His passion, combined with his organisation and motivation, makes him an assist to your organisation.
