A typical lesson begins with a quick review of what we covered last time, followed by working through new material together. I ask guiding questions to encourage independent thinking, and I always check for understanding before moving forward. If there’s an upcoming test or assignment, we’ll tailor the session to that. I also provide study strategies and practice problems to reinforce what we cover.

As someone who scored a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam, earned A’s in double-accelerated math courses, and worked as a Mathnasium tutor for 3 years, I know what mastery looks like—but I also remember what it feels like to be stuck.
