Through my experience as a living historian, and in the heritage, education and environmental sectors, I have the expertise to overcome the difficulties that can be faced when presenting history to students and showcase the value of providing students with different ways to experience the past.

History does not have to be a dry sermon from a dusty textbook, nor a boring lecture. My philosophy is that history must be brought to life within the classroom, and that students can engage with the past not by memorising days and events, but by understanding the vital role of the Historian, and being able to analyse and digest the often challenging context of the past in its own right.
