Math can be difficult, and I believe that confidence and belief in yourself and your abilities comes from trying your best, having support, and practicing. Humans weren’t meant to be the best at everything, and it’s perfectly normal to ask for and accept help in areas you feel aren’t your strongest. I’m excited to help you build your math skills, expand your problem solving, and overall feel more positive in the work you achieve!

As an advanced math student myself, I have a love for this subject and want to support others who may not be so naturally inclined. As a mom and coach, I work with kids regularly with lots of patience and understanding. I empathize with those who struggle to comprehend certain aspects and tailor my lessons to best support each child and their needs individually. This can look like working through homework together, working additional problems to gain a deeper understanding, preparing for a test together, and/or creating clarity around their current lessons that may be misunderstood.
As math is a broad subject, my goal as a tutor is to work with each student to catch them up to their current expected level (if need be), work alongside their current lessons to provide additional support outside of their regular class, and hopefully bring them just ahead of their class lessons, if desired, in order for them to feel confident and present in the classroom. As age and grade level do not determine math levels, my support ranges from Arithmetic up to Calculus 1.
