About Joana
Degree in biochemistry and master in biopharmaceutical sciences, I worked for the last three years as a research technician and professor at Lusófona University. In 2015 I joined the research labs and started teaching as a monitor, and later in 2016 as an assistant professor of laboratories of the integrated master's degree in pharmaceutical sciences and the master's degree in health products and food supplements (Chemistry subjects, such as analytical chemistry, inorganic and medicinal chemistry).
During the past year, I also worked as a research technique on two separate projects: “Development of Nipharmin new antibacterial scaffold and biological applications” (work in microbiology) and “Design for development of new anti-tuberculous drugs using natural diterpenes” (work in medicinal chemistry, isolation of active compounds and characterization).
Apart from research and laboratory work I wrote and assisted in the writing of several scientific articles published in national and international peer reviewed journals. I also participated in several congresses in Portugal, Italy, Spain, China and Switzerland where I had the opportunity to present the works, orally and in poster. I even received the award for best oral presentation by Bionorica during the 65th International Congress and Annual Meeting of the Society of Medicinal Plants and Research in Natural Products, held in Switzerland.

Master in Biopharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Lisbon School of Pharmacy and a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Lisbon School of Sciences.
I already have a lot of experience in the construction of works at academic level such as theses, monographs, reports or scientific articles.
I work in health (pharmaceutical sciences, veterinary medicine, nutrition) or biochemical sciences (biochemistry, biology, chemistry).
1. I help to generate / organize a work plan and ideas to develop;
2. I help develop ideas / chapters and solve problems;
3. I also review completed works;
4. Bibliographic research, revision or monographs;
5. Works in Portuguese or English.
Essentially online methods (via Skype or WhatsApp), so works from all over the country are accepted.
