About Gala
Hello!
My name is Gala and I am a 30 year old PhD student based at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
Having a studied biology at A-level followed by the completion of a zoology undergraduate and a masters degree in tropical medicine I have extensive experience and understanding of a wide range of biological concepts. I also recently completed my chemistry A level in 2020. I believe that a good tutor can make a world of difference to not only a student's grades but also their enjoyment of the subject. I am motivated by helping students learn in an engaging and motivating way.
I understand the pressure that today's students face to progress academically and having gone through many applications and exams myself through my academic career I can provide constructive support in a manner that will boost confidence along with grades!
I can also provide help with university, scholarship or other academic applications. Having worked as a researcher at both the University of Oxford and the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) I have insight into what makes a strong and competitive application.
During my spare time as a student I also help teach on MSc courses at LSTM.
