About Emma
Music is an opportunity and it gave me many opportunities when I was younger. I was able to play in orchestras and build friendships and social skills that I was able to bring into my everyday life at school. Being able to play an instrument is an amazing skill, but being able to play in bands and orchestras with other instruments and players. Being able to play in bands and orchestras also needs the understanding of reading music and this is where music theory understanding helps.

Lessons are 30 min for flute lessons and 45 minutes for Music Theory lessons. I am a graduate from the Manchester Metropolitan University where I taught the flute to students aged from 11-18 years old. I am a Primary school music teacher and have Grade 5 theory and experience of teaching Grade 5 theory for students progressing through their performance grades. Flute lessons are for pupils from ages 8-18 years old. Music theory can be for 8 year old and above.
