About Christy

I began taking piano lessons at age four, studying piano and music theory. I then added vocal coaching during the sixth grade. I have been studying music ever since, getting a B.A. in Applied Music, Vocal/Piano. Since graduating from University, I been teaching music, both in the public and private arena. I have directions choirs, started bands, and performed all over the U.S., including recording 2 albums with a choir group. Music is my passion, along with being a lifelong pursuit that I wish to share with as many people as possible.

About the lesson

Lessons are available from beginner, ages 5 and up. No experience with piano, theory, or vocals is necessary. Music is a soul language, a confidence builder, and a joyful pursuit. It helps children develop discipline, math skills, communication skills, fine motor abilities, organization and time management skills, while being fun and engaging. As a teacher, I love to maximize a student's enjoyment, but engaging them with music they love, encouraging creativity by composing their own music, and maximizing their abilities with new skills. I use basic music techniques to develop their minds, fun music to develop their fingers or voices, and creative games to encourage their imaginations. Anything is possible with MUSIC!
