About Emma
I started giving private percussion lessons when I was still a junior in high school. Since then, I have taught percussion techniques in a youth symphony and world percussion summer camp settings, tutored for music theory, class piano, and aural skills college-level courses, and substitute lectured for college courses in Modern Popular Music and World Music.

As a percussionist, I have experience with styles from all over the world including Senegal, Brazil, Peru, Cuba, and Ghana. I have given lessons to students as young as 8 years old to as old as 30 years old and am willing to teach students of all ages and experience levels! I pride myself in adapting to how my students need to learn and finding new, effective ways of teaching.

Details
My rate will not change per level of student. If I need to travel more than 20 miles round trip, I will charge an additional $2/hour. If I am not notified 24 hours in advance of a lesson being cancelled, I will charge half the cost of the originally scheduled lesson unless it is made up that same day.
