About Ian Samir
Hi! My name is Samir and I am a Mexican-British 4th year Medical student at The University of Cambridge. I have a degree in Physiology, Development and Neuroscience from Cambridge and achieved the maximum scores in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics higher level in the International Baccalaureate (IB) qualification as well as 10 A*s at GCSE.
I tutored IB students for one year at a high school in Japan during my gap year between my 3rd and 4th years of medical school (2017-2018) and have also taught in Beijing and Hong Kong. I would love to share with you the most efficient techniques to study and how to memorise material so that you retain it in your long-term memory.
My hobbies include classical music, having studied violin and piano at the Royal College of Music, London whilst in secondary school, as well as language learning. Having achieved a perfect score in the 3rd level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, I am working towards taking the 2nd level. As such, I would also be happy to tutor Spanish, my mother tongue, and show you the best ways to tackle studying a new language.
I look forward to working with you!
