About Thomas

My tuition is mostly directed at students with an expectation to become researchers in the future, and aims to cover the philosophical principles underpinning biology. My tutoring is typically invite only, although I make exception in certain cases. I am only interested in teaching motivated students aiming to become researchers, although I make specific exceptions in the case of students with learning disabilities. I have two goals: to help create exceptional researchers that then go forward produce valuable contributions to our field, and to ensure that students with disabilities are given access to best-in-class education.

About the lesson

My expertise is cutting-edge, high concept biology. I focus on the theoretical underpinnings of biological life, and expect to take my students significantly past typical academic expectations. Together, we aim to make the student a fully capable, significantly advanced member of the field regardless of their current tier of education. Students applying to my tuition should expect to move rapidly from basic biology to cellular, molecular and informational biology. The overall objective is a holistic understanding of information dynamics within biology, through the observation of the impact of evolutionary selection pressures within the infostate of the cell. By the end of tuition, students will be able to do bioinformatic research to discover new insights within molecular biology. Please be aware that my sessions are typically two consecutive hours with a short break in the middle. This will be further shaped by the needs of the student, based on their attention profile and any disabilities they may have. The price of £90 is for both hours.
