About Roberta

I have been involved as a volunteer in the field of education for more than ten years, also following updating courses on the best teaching techniques. I have been giving individual lessons and teaching to big classes (almost 100 students), teaching to all ages and levels. Apart from Italian, I also gave piano lessons to children, so I know how to deal with them. In the two years I have been living in the United States, I have taught Italian to US undergraduate students whose exams were a great success.
I love teaching Italian because I noticed peculiarities of my mother tongue only through teaching. I especially enjoyed tutoring a couple of US undergraduate students who were following a course about Dante's Divina Commedia. They took good grades also thanks to the work we did together.
My English is completely fluent, which makes teaching Italian to English speakers more accessible.

About the lesson

I am ready to start from scratch, to tutor students who are struggling with grammar or vocabulary, help them with exercises for school or university, or help them improve speaking and listening skills by chatting about anything.
I can adapt teaching methods I learned through the years to all ages.
If you are following a course and you want my help as a tutor, I advise to start from your syllabus. If you want my help as a teacher, I will need to test your level and customise a teaching program on that.
I made classical studies before studying law, so I can teach/tutor also students who are working toward a degree in literature, and would like to discuss the trends of Italian literature.
I am a patient teacher. I am results driven, and always work to achieve challenging goals.
