About Ruben

I am an enthusiastic English tutor with several years of teaching experience in Japan, where I developed strong skills in adapting lessons to students of different ages and abilities. I hold a degree in Translation and Interpreting as well as a TEFL certification, which have given me a solid foundation in both language teaching methodology and cross-cultural communication. Passionate about languages and lifelong learning, I am fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, and I am currently studying Japanese to deepen my understanding of the language and culture. My passion for languages allows me to connect with learners on a personal level, while my teaching experience equips me to create engaging, effective, and supportive learning environments.

About the lesson

English tutor with a degree in Translation and Interpreting, as well as a TEFL teaching certification, and several years of experience teaching English in Japan. As a teacher I believe that building up my student's confidence in speaking and listening is essential to achieving fluency, to this end I encourage a fun and judgement-free environment where you can make mistakes, because it is from mistakes that we learn the most. I focus on reading and comprehension, as well as speaking and pronunciation. My lessons are 1 hour long, and I tailor the lessons for your needs and current level.
