About Oxana

My name is Oxana, and I am a native Russian speaker with a diverse professional background in law, software engineering, and teaching. I bring a highly analytical yet creative approach to everything I do, and I genuinely enjoy helping others learn and grow.

I have experience working with both adults and children, which has taught me how to adapt to different learning styles and personalities. My transition into teaching was driven by my passion for communication, language, and human behavior, including my interest in applied psychology.

I am patient, detail-oriented, and supportive, and I always aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident to speak and make progress. My goal is not just to teach Russian, but to help you think, understand, and express yourself naturally.

About the lesson

I am a native Russian speaker with a background in law, teaching, and applied psychology, which I actively integrate into my lessons. My approach is structured yet flexible, combining clear grammar explanations with real conversational practice to help you speak confidently from the very beginning.

I use techniques from the applied science of psychology to improve memory, reduce speaking anxiety, and help you retain vocabulary naturally. Each lesson is personalized based on your goals — whether you are a complete beginner, an intermediate learner, or someone who wants to refine pronunciation and fluency.

A typical lesson includes speaking practice, targeted grammar, pronunciation work, and practical scenarios from real life. I focus on helping you think in Russian, not just translate.

What sets me apart is my analytical approach, patience, and ability to explain complex concepts simply. My lessons are ideal for adults, professionals, children, and motivated learners who want real, lasting results.

Deadly! Oxana is a superb teacher. She is articulate, clear, creative, attentive and patient. She has superior knowledge of her language as well as ability to work with kids. She gave our daughter a great lesson and captured her whole attention the whole time. We worked on vocabulary, conversation skills, cultural knowledge, as well as some simple beginner grammar. We are very satisfied and would highly recommend her!

I highly recommend Oxana as a Russian language teacher. She has a deep knowledge of both the Russian language and Russian literature, and a great ability to explain the language in a clear and engaging way.

What I especially appreciate is that Oxana goes beyond grammar and vocabulary and brings in cultural and literary context, which makes learning Russian much more meaningful and interesting. She is knowledgeable, patient, and very thoughtful in the way she explains things, and she has a real passion for the Russian language and culture.

If you're looking to learn Russian not only as a language but also to better understand the culture and literature behind it, I would definitely recommend Oxana.
