About Timofei

My name is Timofei, and I’m a Russian writer and passionate language tutor. I studied at Cape Breton University, where I deepened my love for languages, culture, and communication. Currently live in Halifax. I truly enjoy meeting and communicating with new people from all over the world - teaching Russian gives me the perfect opportunity to do that! I’m always happy to help others discover not only the language itself but also the beauty, humor, and soul of Russian culture. As a writer, I have a deep appreciation for classic Russian literature: from Pushkin and Tolstoy to Bulgakov and Dostoevsky. I believe that understanding our great authors helps you understand the Russian way of thinking, feeling, and living. And yes, I’d love to help you fall in love with this beautiful (and sometimes cursed!) language - with all its tricky grammar, rich vocabulary, and expressive charm. Together, we’ll make learning Russian enjoyable, inspiring, and practical for your goals - whether it’s for travel, business, or personal growth.
