About Maria

I am a dedicated tutor with a passion for helping both adults and children discover the joy of learning Greek. Teaching is my way of making language accessible and empowering students of all ages to achieve their goals, whether they are starting from scratch or building on existing knowledge. I believe that every learner is unique, which is why I adapt my teaching style to suit each individual’s needs, ensuring a clear and enjoyable path to progress. For me, teaching is about more than just language; it’s about building confidence and creating a learning experience that is both effective and rewarding.

About the lesson

As a private tutor for Greek as a second language, I prioritise a personalised and immersive learning experience. Rather than relying on rigid, one-size-fits-all methods, I tailor each lesson to suit your goals, interests, and pace. My approach emphasises practical communication, blending language with culture to bring Greek to life in meaningful ways. I incorporate authentic materials, engaging activities, and consistent feedback to ensure steady progress. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, my teaching is designed to inspire confidence, curiosity, and a genuine connection to the Greek language and its rich heritage

I had the pleasure of learning Greek with Maria and incredible and professional tutor. Maria creates a comfortable learning environment and she made me feel very confident to ask questions. She always provided me with helpful materials and good feedback and that’s how I improved my Greek vocabulary. Maria is also very bubbly and has a positive attitude that made each lesson more enjoyable. I’ve gained confidence in speaking, writing and reading in Greek. I highly recommend Maria to anyone looking to learn Greek.
