About Safa

My name is Safa, and I spent 15 years of my life in Jordan, moving there when I was just 5 years old. Though I’m not of Arab descent, my life in Jordan shaped who I am today, and the culture, traditions, and ways of living became second nature to me. My friends in Jordan are more than just friends—they’re family. That’s why, even after returning to London, Jordan feels more like home to me than anywhere else. The bonds I formed there and the experiences I had have deeply influenced my outlook on life, and I carry those lessons with me wherever I go I also studied the Arabic language with my native stepfather and completed madina book one Two and three if you know these books

About the lesson

Learning Arabic can seem challenging, but I know from experience that with the right approach, it becomes an exciting and rewarding journey. I’ve been in the same position as my students—I understand the struggles of learning a new language and the importance of finding methods that truly work. That’s why my teaching style is designed to make Arabic accessible, engaging, and practical. I take a modern, immersive approach, combining traditional techniques with interactive methods. Instead of focusing only on memorisation and grammar, I introduce Arabic through real-life conversations, cultural insights, and engaging activities like storytelling, music, and short videos. This helps students think in Arabic rather than just translate from their native language. From my experience, starting young makes a huge difference, as the brain absorbs languages more naturally. However, no matter your age, learning Arabic doesn’t have to be overwhelming. I tailor my lessons to each student’s pace, ensuring they build confidence and practical skills that they can apply in real-world situations. With patience, encouragement, and a fresh, engaging approach, I help students not only learn Arabic but also enjoy the process, making it a skill they can carry for life.
