About Finley

My names Fin, I'm a TEFL level 5 qualified native speaker that loves teaching. I have taught a wide range of subjects and worked with a wide range of students in terms of ability, culture and age. I also love travelling and immersing myself in cultures that are different to my own, which is why I have taught in a number of countries and plan to continue doing so.

My teaching style is very interactive and supportive so students can expect to be engaged, to learn a lot and also have fun while doing so. In my approach, I also bring kindness, patience, encouragement, as these traits are just part of who I am.

So, if the student wants to build confidence, increase their knowledge and proficiency in english in an effective way, while also enjoying doing so, you have come to the right place. I do hope to hear from you.

About the lesson

I am a native English speaker from the UK with a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience I have 2 years of experience teaching English as a second language both in primary and secondary schools.

I'm flexible, and patient and like to make my lessons engaging and creative. In my lessons, I like to use different kinds of materials, including videos podcasts ️ music textbooks games ️ and projects . We can get creative as you like because I think learning should be fun!

My teaching method is all about working together with you and building ️ my lessons around you 🫵 In my first lesson, we will first get to know each other a bit, we will discuss: your current language skills goals plans strengths and weaknesses and use all of this to build a plan for the next lessons.

I have a diverse teaching background. I've worked as a primary school English teacher in Ghana , a secondary school Science and English teacher and program advisor in Thailand, an online science, maths, and English tutor, and a special education teacher in the UK.

My teaching style focuses on working with you to make learning interesting and fun, but it's not the same lessons for everyone, I will adapt to your needs! I also believe in using helpful techniques like concept checking, repetition, using interactive tools, and teaching the most important language so you can apply it. I'll help you learn things you can really use in different situations. ️

In our lessons, we'll start with some friendly questions and introductions. This will allow us to get to know each other better and help me find out what you're good at, where you want to get better, and how you like to learn. Together, we'll make goals and create a learning plan just for you. We'll check how you're doing regularly to see how much you've learned and if we are happy with your progress.
