About Chiaka
Hey!
My name is Chiaka and I am 23 years old. I graduated from University of Leicester in 2020 after having studied a degree in Neuroscience. In those three years I spent a lot of my time researching in the field of animal behaviour and botany; travelling around Africa and volunteering at my university to support my peers academically and emotionally.
For the last two years I have worked in a secondary school teaching the sciences to students aged 11-18 and specialising in supporting SEND on both academic and social levels.
Having worked in a school setting and volunteering at uni, I am very confident in my professionalism and interpersonal skills. I have a huge passion for science and love sharing it with those who want to improve. Being a young adult I also take great pride in my ability to relate and empathise with students going through education just like I did only a few years ago.
I hope to work with many of you soon as my passion for science & experience as a student has allowed me to find loads of interesting and funny mnemonics to help remember different things :)

Techniques
- I teach content using large amounts of analogies, mnemonics and repetition. Firm believer in past paper practice to learn knowledge application.

- 1-2 hour sessions
Experience/Qualifications
- Recently spent 2 years teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics to children aged 11-18 at a secondary school. Although teaching all students, I specialised particularly in SEND.
- Prior to this I was at university where I was a Study Well Ambassador where I worked to mentor and tutor younger peers academically and emotionally.
Lessons are for any students aged 11-18 (KS3, KS4, KS5)
