About Arvid

My name is Arvid Kraft and I was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. Music has always been my biggest interest and I have been playing since I was 10 years old. My musical career started with me playing guitar, which I still do, but along the way I picked up interests in playing electric bass, piano and drums. I played in a lot of different bands and got a lot of experience. When I was 18, I decided to change course and instead focus on music composition. I learned a lot about contemporary music that I did not know, and found new interests in aesthetics and art through composition that I think all musicians should find. My interests are in contemporary music and I have written for orchestra, chamber ensembles and smaller ensembles. I also write a lot of electronic music. I have broad knowledge in music composition, music theory, orchestration / instrumentation, music history, conducting, electronic music and music production and can teach you all this.

About the lesson

I believe in a good relationship with the student so we can exchange experiences and have a good discussion. In this way, I understand my student better and can give it what it needs. I can teach to beginners of all ages, but also to those who have been composing music for a long time. If you as a private person want 1-to-1 lessons in composing music, learning music theory, understanding instruments and orchestration, learning about music history and music aesthetics, or need an introduction to music electronics and programs such as Logic Pro X, I can learn you it. I can also teach these subjects in small groups.
