About Leah
Hi! I'm a fully certified Social Studies teacher from New York with experience teaching middle and high school students. I have a passion for helping students build confidence, strengthen their understanding of history, and develop critical thinking skills.
I hold a Master of Science in Education (Adolescent Education) from St. John's University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from SUNY Fredonia. My background in education and the arts has helped me develop a creative, engaging, and student-centered approach to teaching.
I believe every student can succeed with the right support. I tailor lessons to each student's needs, whether they are looking for help with U.S. History, World History, Civics, Government, homework support, or test preparation. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas, and becoming more confident learners.

I believe the best learning happens when students feel supported and engaged. My lessons are interactive, personalized, and focused on building confidence while making social studies interesting and relevant.
Each session includes a review of key concepts, clear explanations, guided practice, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions. I adapt every lesson to fit each student's learning style and goals.
I have experience teaching middle and high school students (grades 6–12) in U.S. History, World History, Civics, Government, Geography, and Economics. Whether you need help with homework, test prep, Regents exams, or strengthening your overall understanding, I'm here to help you succeed!
