About Liza
I believe that the best way to teach you is to show how exciting learning can be by connecting with you. This is why I like to devote more time to using the language and discussing cultures, current issues, traveling, and anything of your interest.
I've been working as a English-Russian translator since 2014. I have taught Russian privately for 4 years, and I've been giving group lessons since early 2016 in the city of Saint Petersburg. I've recently moved to London, and am seeking to continue teaching Russian, as teaching is my huge passion.
I guarantee that my lessons will not only help you understands spoken and written Russian, but will also be fun and enjoyable! Whether you're an advanced student or you don't speak a word of Russian, I am happy to be your guide into the world of this rich and expressive language!

*I use the textbook called "Поехали!" ("Let's go!") as a base for my course. It offers plenty of useful everyday topics, simply explained grammar, and helpful examples. I will provide you with a pdf version of it.
-First lesson-
If you already know some Russian, we will start with a short level test. If Russian is a brand new language to you - no problem - I will give you a short introduction, so you know what to expect.
-Course Plan-
Then we will proceed to making a plan for your course. Depending on your goals, needs and your schedule, we will work out a lesson plan that works best.
Tentetive lesson structure:
1. WARM-UP: 10-20 minutes of speaking on the tipics we covered earlier
2. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: answering your questions about previously covered material, checking homework
2. NEW MATERIAL: covering a grammar case OR a cultural topic
3. NEW WORDS: covering a portion of new words
All of this can be and will be modified depending on your needs and your progress!
-Results-
There is a short written and verbal exam after each section of the book. This will help to measure your progress and modify our lesson plan according to your strengths and weaknesses.
