About Santi

I am a NATIVE-level English speaker with 10+ years of Speech and Language Teaching/Remediation Experience with Asian and American clients. My passion is in teaching Accent Reduction and Practical Living English to university students and corporate professionals looking to study/work in America.

- TESOL-Certified English Instructor (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)
- Speech-Language Pathologist (Certificate of Clinical Competency)
- English Lecturer at the University of Missouri Science & Technology
- Accent Reduction Course Instructor
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics

About the lesson

This is NOT an ordinary conversational English course. You will be learning from an experienced speech therapist! I will tailor your lessons to your strengths and weaknesses. But this will require hard work on your part as I work with you.

Your course work will include:

- individual speech analysis
- structured speech training customized to the your area of study/business
- building and incorporating new speech habits into the classroom/workplace
- practical verbal/social skills for successful immersion into American culture

You will learn to speak American English with ease. I will teach you how to verbally navigate through your American academic/business life: give presentations, hold meetings, handle issues at the store/bank/post office, manage matters over the phone, resolve conflicts, etc. You will learn "everyday American" vocabulary that you don't learn from school! People will understand you much better.

I worked with Santi in another professional area but not in teaching/tutoring. She was a very thorough, detail-oriented, conscientious, patient and compassionate lady. I believe she would do her best and excelled in any jobs that she works in. In the meantime, I think she came to USA when she was very young, so her English fluency is without a doubt.
