Before we commence on any lessons, I will complete an Assessment with my client. I will then give a brief explanation on the Syllabus and how the different lessons will be structured in order to meet the needs we have identified in the initial Assessment. I will find out from my student how he/she would like feedback and incorporate that with the feedback method I already have in place.
I will not fall into the trap of the lessons being more like a conversation and not enough like a lesson. Most of my students chose individual lessons, as they want to spend more time listening to / talking to a teacher with better pronunciation. Most students prefer humor, which I will incorporate in all the lessons. I make sure the students do most of the talking
I will complete a feedback sheet after every lesson in order to keep my students motivated and to give them the opportunity to plan the next lesson should they chose to do so
