About Mike

I started teaching in Taiwan in 1999, then in Global Village Vancouver in 2001. When my school closed in 2020, I started tutoring online. I continue doing what I've done for over 20 years, which is help people from all over the world improve their English, and that is something I love and never get tired of doing.

About the lesson

I have many lessons that can help with specific areas to improve on such as speaking and listening, vocabulary and idioms, or reading and writing. I also have many tips and materials for tests like IELTS, TOEFL and CELPIP. I like to interact and get students to talk a lot and then do error corrections for pronunciation and grammar.

Deadly! Mike is a great teacher. I enjoy my English classes, the structure and the flow of the lessons. Absolutely positive ambiance during the class, no pressure, which is great if you have a goal and you want to achieve it. I would 100% recommend Mike.
