About Ewan

When I was at school, I often fell behind in maths and assumed I was the problem. Over time, I realised that the lessons just weren’t suited to how I learnt. I would have really benefited from calm, patient support and a teaching style that focused on understanding rather than pressure. That experience is a big reason I went into teaching. I now work to offer the kind of clear, supportive guidance I wish I’d had — helping students rebuild confidence, understand the basics properly, and make steady progress at their own pace

About my lessons

My lessons are calm, structured, and supportive.
I work at the student’s pace and guide them through each step, rather than rushing or expecting them to “just get it”. We work through questions together, with clear explanations and encouragement throughout.

Lessons are designed to feel supportive and low-pressure, while staying focused and purposeful.

I focus on identifying gaps in understanding and rebuilding the basics carefully — ideal for students who lack confidence or are worried about falling behind.

Lesson length

Most lessons are 50 minutes, which I find is the ideal length for maintaining focus and making steady progress.

Longer or shorter sessions can be arranged if needed.
