About Kevin

Hi! I’m Kevin, an honors chemistry student at Concordia University with a passion for both science and creativity. Before diving into chemistry, I worked as a chef, and cooking remains a huge hobby of mine. When I’m not in the lab, you’ll often find me at the piano or exploring new recipes. I also love sharing my passion for science with others and spend my summers teaching young scientists at a science camp. My goal is to make learning engaging and fun, whether it’s in the kitchen, the lab, or the classroom.

About the lesson

Courses I tutor in Montreal McGill: CHEM 110, 120, 287, 212, 213, 222, 223, 302... Concordia CHEM 205, 206, 217, 221, 222, 324, 293, 234... In my personalized tutoring sessions, you can access tools like a whiteboard, chemistry modeling kits, paper, and other practical aids to help you grasp the material. I aim to provide you with a fresh perspective on chemistry—whether we're working through reaction mechanisms, synthesis pathways, or advanced analytical techniques like chromatography and spectroscopy. Each session is tailored to your learning style. We'll break down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand language, and tackle practice problems together until you feel confident with the material. I won’t stop until you fully understand; if something doesn’t click, I’ll adjust my approach until it does. Whether you're at the CEGEP level or taking on advanced university organic chemistry, your success is my priority.

Deadly! Kevin is very good at making analogies that I can grasp. He also always ensures I understand what we are covering before moving on, and if I don't he will go back and start over but with a different approach. This makes learning more intuitive for me, so I highly recommend Kevin to anyone struggling with conceptualizing organic chemistry.

Meeting with kevin was honestly what saved me in organic 3. He’s able to make complicated concepts like pka, molecular orbitals, reaction mechanisms…. Easy to grasp. Went from 44% on midterm 2 to 86% on the final.
