About Elsy
I am a junior at the University of Michigan double majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition & Neuroscience and Biomolecular Science. I love teaching which is something I have been doing for the past three years. I tutored Organic Chemistry for two years and I taught the class as an undergraduate Teaching Assistant (TA) when I was a sophomore. I have a very strong background in the sciences - I have taken Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry 1 & 2, Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry, labs and more.

My teaching method is to teach with compassion and enthusiasm. Structured instruction is also a method of mine. Together, I use these methods to create a positive learning environment where students get academic support and feel comfortable interacting and asking questions.
I follow the material given in lecture and emphasize practice because I think increased practice leads to better understanding. My students express greater degree of understanding and mastery of material and perform better in their classes.
