About Noelle
With over 8 years of tutoring experience and an MSc in Mathematical Finance, I help students navigate the beauty and complexity of advanced mathematics. My teaching emphasizes proof writing, logic, and reasoning as essential tools. Abstract algebra and topology are my specialties. In group theory, I begin with simple, intuitive patterns before moving to formal definitions. In ring theory, I highlight how algebraic systems unify different areas of mathematics. For topology, I use diagrams, models, and discussion to ground abstract ideas. My students are typically university learners, many of whom are pursuing pure mathematics. My approach to teaching mathematics is guided by clarity, structure, and progression. Each lesson builds naturally on the previous one, ensuring learners feel steady growth. Algebra is taught as the foundation that supports all higher mathematics. Calculus, especially differentiation and integration, is explained in simple steps, supported with practical examples. Geometry is explored through proofs, which develop logical thinking and problem-solving precision. Probability and statistics are taught with an emphasis on applications, making them both useful and engaging. Every lesson has a clear path, so students know what they are learning and why. I adapt my teaching to suit each learner, providing tailored support where needed. My focus is always on deep understanding, not just quick answers.
