About Ellis
Hello!
My name is Ellis and I am a Chemistry Master's Graduate of the University of Oxford. I now live in Manchester and I am undertaking PhD research for a Doctorate in Chemistry at the University of Manchester.
I offer online and in-person GCSE and A Level Chemistry tutoring.
I have been giving private lessons for over five year helping students to succeed in GCSE and A Level Chemistry. My teaching focuses primarily on helping you achieve the best possible grade in your examinations. My students often go on to achieve (and usually exceed) their aspirational targets - and you could too!
Oxbridge admission prep also available.
Experience and qualifications:
- 5+ years of teaching GCSE and A-Level Chemistry
- Currently undertaking a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Manchester
- Undergraduate & Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Oxford
- 4 A* grades in A level Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths, Physics
- 12 A* grades in GCSEs including all Science & Maths subjects

I take a more informal approach to my lessons. I explain key concepts simply using visual and practical examples to consolidate your knowledge. I will walk you through more advanced topics step-by-step and answer any and all of your questions. We will then together look at past paper questions to enforce your understanding and practise exam technique. I am also completely flexible to your specific style of learning.
Lessons are 1 hour in length and take place online or in-person. In-person lessons are only suited for people living in Manchester.
Lessons can be in the day time of evenings depending on schedules.
Online Lessons are £50 per hour. In-person Lessons are £50 per hour. payment via PayPal.
A breif introductory meeting will be held prior to starting lessons.

Deadly! Dewi is a fabulous Chemistry tutor, always well prepared and really helpful.
