Oxford Music graduate (BA, Hons) teaches music theory from beginner level up to ABRSM grade 8. Lessons over Zoom or Microsoft Teams (to be discussed).

About Ed
I have a passion for teaching others about what makes great music, and how they can understand more about the music they love. By helping students to deepen their understanding of the workings of music, I hope to inspire them to go beyond just passing a theory exam. I aim to empower students to better understand why they love the music they do, and thus deepen their understanding of themselves.

I typically teach 1 hour lessons minimum, starting by guiding pupils through the key concepts required for their theory grade and eventually moving on to practice questions and mock papers.
My online teaching experience has focused on pupils of Secondary school age (12-18) with Key Stage 3 and A level content. However, I am willing to teach people of all ages, Grades 1-8 ABRSM theory as well as Trinity theory grades if requested.
