About Zina

I am a Chemistry tutor with over 2 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Radiochemistry, with a strong focus on food chemistry and nutritional science. I enjoy helping students understand how chemistry shapes the food we eat and the way our bodies process it. My teaching connects core chemical principles to everyday life, especially in the kitchen and in nutrition.

I specialise in topics such as macromolecules, including proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids, and how they function in food and the body. I also teach about food additives, explaining their roles in preservation, flavour, and texture. Metabolic processes are another key area, where I guide students through how the body converts food into energy. These topics become much easier when linked to real examples.

My approach is practical and application-focused. I use dietary analysis to help students understand nutritional values and chemical composition in meals. I also introduce basic ideas of food product development, showing how chemistry is used to design and improve food products. Cooking itself becomes a learning tool, where we explore chemical reactions like browning, fermentation, and emulsification.

Lessons are interactive and adapted to each student’s level and goals. I aim to make complex ideas simple and engaging. My goal is to build both understanding and curiosity.

Let’s explore chemistry in a way that connects science with food, health, and everyday life. Together, we can master chemistry and gain valuable insights into healthy eating and culinary science.

My teaching approach in Chemistry is practical, clear, and focused on step-by-step problem-solving. I believe students understand chemistry best when each concept is broken down into simple and logical steps. Every lesson is designed to build a strong foundation in core topics like stoichiometry, chemical reactions, and balancing equations.

I guide students through calculations carefully, making sure each step is understood and applied correctly. Reaction kinetics is taught using real examples so students can see how reaction rates change and why it matters. I focus on helping learners connect equations with actual chemical behaviour.

Practice is an important part of my method. Students solve problems during sessions with my guidance, which helps improve accuracy and confidence. I also adapt my teaching to match each student’s pace and learning style. This ensures steady progress without confusion.

I pay close attention to precision in calculations and logical thinking. Students are supported in developing strong analytical skills and avoiding common mistakes. Over time, they become more independent and confident in solving complex problems.

Each lesson is built around a clear understanding of chemical change. The goal is not just to solve questions, but to truly understand what is happening in every reaction. This approach helps students succeed in exams and apply chemistry effectively in further studies.
