About Sam
I am an experienced graduate teacher having delivered Maths and Physics lessons at KS3, GCSE and A-level both in secondary schools and through online tuition. Coupled with a professional background in performing arts, I really understand how to work closely with an individual, listen to their individual strengths as well as areas to improve and from there, tailor a learning approach best suited to their personal style.

My teaching method is very learner-centric and from experience, this tends to lend itself well to the online environment. After establishing a baseline of understanding, we will target your weakest areas first, collaboratively working through problems and exam-style material to ensure that first and foremost, you are prepared for the style of answer and reasoning the exam boards will require from you. Moving forwards from that point, the real beauty of maths is that everything works on a fundamental level. I want all of my students to be able to see the deeper function of mathematics and understand WHY it works in the way it does and the real life applications of it rather than just ticking the boxes required by the exam boards.
