About Alina
Hello! :) I'm Alina, an architecture graduate with a lifelong joy for teaching and helping children. Outside of tutoring, I love all things creative, from painting to baking! I incorporate this creativity into my lessons, making learning engaging and adaptable to each student's needs. I'm a passionate tutor with eight years of experience, having worked in both tuition centres and private settings. Teaching children is something I truly love and has always been second nature to me! I began tutoring at 16 and it has remained with me ever since – throughout my A Levels, my degree and part-time, as I graduated and started full-time work. My approach focuses on building strong relationships with my students, boosting their confidence, helping them develop a positive mindset and seeing mistakes as valuable learning opportunities. Most importantly, I aim to ignite a genuine love for learning!

My lessons usually last an hour (we sometimes may go over an hour, as I do not like to rush the end of the lesson or leave an unfinished question) and is structured into three key parts: an introduction or recap, a main focus - whether that’s a specific topic or a section of a past paper - and a summary to consolidate learning. Each lesson is fully tailored to the individual student, using flexible and adaptable teaching methods to break down questions, tackle challenges and turn mistakes into valuable learning experiences. Most importantly, I strive to create a positive, comfortable and engaging environment where students feel confident and happy in their learning journey! :) In our first lesson, we’ll take some time to get to know each other, identify key areas to focus on and troubleshoot any challenges. From there, I’ll prepare personalised content and targeted questions to address areas of difficulty, ensuring steady progress and a deeper understanding of the subject.
