About Pouya
Hello! My name is Pouya, and I am passionate about helping students build confidence and succeed in math. I understand that many students feel frustrated or overwhelmed by math, and my goal is to change that experience into something positive and empowering.
I have a strong academic background and a deep understanding of mathematics from elementary to Grade 10. More importantly, I know how to explain concepts in a clear, simple, and patient way. I believe that every student can succeed in math with the right guidance and support.
I am professional, reliable, and well-prepared for every lesson. I take the time to understand each student’s strengths, challenges, and learning style so I can tailor my teaching to their needs. I create a comfortable and respectful learning environment where students feel safe asking questions and making mistakes — because that’s how real learning happens.
My focus is not just improving grades, but building long-term confidence and strong foundational skills. When students understand the “why” behind the math, their performance naturally improves.

As a math tutor for elementary to Grade 10 students, my goal is to make math simple, clear, and confidence-building. I understand that many students struggle not because math is too hard, but because it was not explained in a way that matches how they learn. My role is to break down complex concepts into small, manageable steps and guide students until they truly understand.
My teaching style is:
• Step-by-step and structured – I explain one concept at a time and make sure the foundation is strong before moving forward.
• Interactive and engaging – I ask questions constantly to check understanding and encourage students to think, not just memorize.
• Practice-focused – Math improves with practice, so we solve problems together and gradually increase difficulty.
• Adapted to the student’s learning style – Some students learn visually, some through repetition, and some through real-life examples. I adjust accordingly.
• Confidence-centered – I focus on reducing math anxiety and building self-belief.

• I am patient and calm, especially with students who feel frustrated with math.
