About Rachel
I began nursing as an RN at 20 years of age in the pediatric intensive care unit. From there I worked in the emergency room, perinatal unit, postpartum, newborn nursery (yes 30 years ago we had those lol), and neonatal intensive care unit. Approximately two years later I had obtained my BSN. With my BSN, I began teaching nursing clinicals and eventually didactic studies. At 27 years of age, I graduated a pediatric nurse practitioner program with an MSN. From here I began my practice in an office setting. Then approximately, a decade later I completed my DNP. All along while going to school I worked and created a loving family with three children. I love what I do! I love to practice medicine and teach it as well.
