As a student in the rigorous Science, Mathematics, and Computer Science (SMCS) magnet program, I understand that math can sometimes feel challenging or overwhelming. As a tutor, I focus on making difficult concepts simple through clear explanations, step-by-step examples, and personalized practice. I adjust each lesson to the student’s pace and needs rather than using the same approach for everyone. A typical lesson includes reviewing previous material, learning the concept, working through examples together, and practicing independently. I tutor elementary and middle school students in math, including homework, test preparation, and strengthening foundational skills. My goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to help them understand why it works and become more confident solving problems on their own.
