About Ikram
Hi, I'm a qualified Science Teacher with a PGCE and QTS, and over 10 years of experience supporting young people in education. I am passionate about helping students build confidence, develop a genuine understanding of Science, and achieve their academic goals.
I have experience teaching KS3, GCSE and A-Level students across a range of abilities, from those needing extra support to high-achieving learners aiming for top grades. My lessons are engaging, supportive and tailored to each student's individual needs, ensuring they make steady progress and feel confident in their abilities.
Alongside my teaching experience, I have a background in career development, allowing me to help students connect their studies to future education and career opportunities. I believe that success comes from building strong relationships, creating a positive learning environment, and encouraging every student to reach their full potential.

My lessons are tailored to each student's individual learning style, ability and goals, ensuring they feel confident, supported and challenged throughout their learning journey.
My teaching approach focuses on building a strong understanding of key scientific concepts before developing exam technique and application skills. I use a variety of teaching methods, including interactive discussions, worked examples, retrieval practice, past paper questions and real-world examples to make Science engaging and accessible. I regularly assess progress and adapt lessons to target areas where students need additional support.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although longer sessions can be arranged if required. Each lesson is structured to maximise learning, with clear objectives, guided practice and opportunities for independent problem-solving.
My lessons are suitable for KS3, GCSE and A-Level students of all abilities, whether they need help building confidence, improving grades, preparing for examinations or aiming for top marks.
