About Vijay
I have a Ph.D. in Bio-Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences with 7+ years of post-Ph.D. research experience in academia and industry. I have >11+ years of research experience in the fields of Biotechnology and Biochemistry that covers broad areas of Cell Biology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, and Microbiology. My research experience in these fields contributed to publishing overall 16 international peer-reviewed journals with 7 as first author and 8 as co-author. In addition, I had 1 year of industrial research experience working on gene delivery using nanopolymers. Above all, I enjoy taking multiple challenges in the science field and am passionate to give back my tutoring and research experience to the next generation.

I will put more emphasis on teaching with visual learning methods, group discussions, brainstorming sessions or question-answer sessions. I believe that teaching complex subjects using these methods will not only give an ample opportunity to learn one topic in different ways but also improve their ability to communicate science with one another. To develop problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, I will provide students with case studies, video clips and research papers that are relevant to the topic of interest. In doing so, I will encourage students to develop a systematic and logical approach to define, analyze and address scientific problems. These teaching methods will not only improve the ability of my students to think critically and independently solve problems but also help them deal with decision making and coping with the ambiguities often seen in real life situations.
