PhD Chemistry Tutor specialising in A-Level Chemistry (AQA & OCR) with 10+ years' experience

Jane taught me for my A level Chemistry. Before starting with Jane I had a C grade at AS level. I finished with an A grade because of Jane’s patience, knowledge and supportive environment. If I did not understand something she would explain it in different ways until I was happy.

Jane helped me enjoy Chemistry and I always looked forward to our lessons. Jane improved my technique and taught me how to answer questions. Her resources including her booklets had everything I needed.

Thank you Jane !

Jane has tutored both my daughter and my son for chemistry A Level. She is very patient and passionate and very good at explaining difficult topics. My son missed a large portion of school and he could have not passed his A level without her help. She has helped him gain confidence and provided him with great exam techniques and helped his revision with her own topic booklets. She has been very accommodating when we had to change the lesson and very sensitive to my son’s situation. I would highly recommend her and I couldn’t thank her enough for all her help.

Dr. Jane is patient and kind during the tuition time, and she is delighted to help with anything that I am not sure about without losing any patience. Her lesson pace is not rapid, which is really helpful in terms of my understanding of the content. Also, she will provide a notebook whenever we start a new topic in the tuition, and the booklet is easy to understand and neat, so it is very useful in terms of strengthening my knowledge.

Jane has extremely helped me with Chemistry A-level. From her thorough resources to her outstanding patience, she has significantly boosted my confidence in Chemistry. She is very hard working and dedicates a lot of attention to detail. Particularly with her summary booklets, she ensures that they are up to date and refined so they are easy to understand. I enjoy her teaching style which is completely malleable to the student and their needs instead of set portions to cover each lesson. I would definitely recommend Jane to everyone looking for Chemistry tutoring.

Dr Jane has excellent resources and is a very experienced and helpful tutor. The online lessons were focused and my son achieved a grade A at A level instead of the predicted C thanks to the increased confidence and targeted help.
We highly recommend Dr Jane.

Jane is one of the best tutors I have had throughout my tuition journey, the endless amount of resources she has is very beneficial. I have always not been that consistent in chemistry, however since being with Jane, she has helped me gain confidence in this subject due to her alternative approaches which I find really helpful.

I came to Jane with minimal time before my GCSEs and essentially knew nothing, but she never once dismissed a question as too simple or too 'stupid'. Her patience and ability to break down complex topics into clear, manageable steps rebuilt my confidence from the ground up. She brought my grades up immensely in a remarkably short space of time. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I can’t recommend Jane enough as an A Level Chemistry tutor. Before working with her, I was achieving a D, but thanks to her support I’ve improved to an A.

Jane is incredibly easy to learn from, every lesson is tailored to your individual strengths and weaknesses, so you always feel like you’re making progress in the areas that matter most.

I found all of the lessons really engaging, and the resources she provides are excellent—especially her custom-made booklets, which were amazing for revision. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about her students and is fully invested in helping them succeed.

Excellent chemistry tutor! We are very lucky that we found her. She taught both of my children, one for GCSE and the other for A-Level, and made a huge difference to their confidence and understanding of the subject. Her explanations were always clear and easy to follow, and both children achieved excellent results. My son will continue his AL chemistry with Jane.. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated chemistry tutor.

Jane came highly recommended and boy did she deliver, as a father, I couldn't be more proud of my son for the effort he put in and Jane has played a pivotal role in that, her expertise has really helped develop the confidence in my son. Thank you Jane.

My son studied A-Level OCR Chemistry with Jane for about a year, and we are very pleased with the experience.

I originally found her online and was immediately impressed by how friendly, patient, and professional she was. Throughout the year, she was always well prepared and willing to help whenever my son had difficulties with any topic. She responded quickly to questions and made sure problems were addressed effectively.

At one point, I felt that my son’s progress was not as strong as we had hoped. After discussing this with the tutor, she took our concerns seriously and promptly suggested changing from online lessons to face-to-face sessions. This showed how much he genuinely cared about my son’s learning and academic progress.

The change made a significant difference. With her guidance, support, and tailored teaching approach, my son’s understanding and confidence in Chemistry improved greatly. We saw clear progress over time, and the results reflected his hard work as well as the Jane’s dedication.

I highly recommend Jane to any student looking for an A-Level Chemistry tutor. She is knowledgeable, responsible, patient, and truly committed to helping her students succeed.

Jane has been really helpful for Tom in supporting him with revision for his AS Level this summer and looking ahead to year two of his A Level studies.
We're looking forward to working with Jane on his second and final year right up to the exam period.
Thanks Jane!

Jane has really helped me with my chemistry, last year I achieved a grade 8 in GCSE AQA Chemistry, thanks to her tutorials. Jane is brilliant at explaining and helping me understand hard concepts and ideas. She also teaches me all the exam techniques to get the most amount of marks and I will continue tutorials with her until my A-Level Chemistry exam.

I would highly recommend Jane as a chemistry tutor to anyone looking for genuine, effective support.

When I started working with her, there were significant gaps in my knowledge from missed content, and several topics I simply couldn't get my head around no matter how many times I revisited them. She tackled both of these systematically, filling in the foundational gaps I was missing and then breaking down the more complex material in ways that actually clicked for me.

What stood out most was the impact she had beyond just the content itself. Chemistry had started to feel like something I just couldn't do, but her patience and clear explanations genuinely rebuilt my confidence. By the end of our sessions, I wasn't just understanding the subject, I was actually enjoying it, which I wouldn't have believed possible at the start.

If you're looking for a tutor who is knowledgeable, thorough, and genuinely invested in your progress, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.
