About Joao
Hi! My name is João, and I’m a math tutor with a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering. I've always had a passion for mathematics, and I bring over 10 years of research and academic experience in areas like computation, optimization, probability, and statistics. In my free time, I enjoy skateboarding, traveling, and (of course) diving deeper into math. I truly believe that everyone can—and should!—have a positive and rewarding experience learning math.

My tutoring sessions are tailored to each student’s needs—whether it’s clearing up specific doubts (theory, exercises, or even general curiosity), reviewing class material, or reinforcing concepts through guided practice.
I fully adapt my teaching style to the student. My core belief is that there’s no such thing as a silly question—every doubt deserves to be explored, and every question is a step toward deeper understanding. My students’ success is my success too.
Lessons are open to all students from high school to university level. I also offer flexible scheduling to fit your availability.
