About Joni

I am extremely passionate about education and providing tailored experiences to students. Not everyone learns the same way, and standard education & testing methods may not work the same for everyone. I approach my lessons with kindness and patience, and try to make them an enjoyable learning experience. I know that I learn best when I’m happy!

I am a scientist with research experience in microbiology, molecular biology, dermatology, cancer biology, biochemistry, statistics, thesis writing, and more. I did my PhD at the University of Auckland, NZ; Postdoc at Harvard Medical School, USA; and I now work as a scientist in Sydney, Australia.

About the lesson

Send me a general list of what you need help with, and we‘ll spend an hour making sure you leave the lesson with a clear understanding of the topic & tailored techniques to help you progress. As a PhD graduate, I tutor everyone from school age to postgraduate. I care about all my students and will go the extra mile to help you achieve your goals.

I can do one-off lessons or recurring lessons, and can also provide you with resources to study in your own time.

I have extensive experience tutoring high school students, through to teaching university level sciences, to teaching postgraduate students. No matter what level you are at, I’ll make sure you understand everything you need to know.
