About Kevin
Hi, I'm Dr Kevin McKinley, a PhD-qualified microbiologist with a passion for helping students succeed in science. I’ve spent the past several years conducting academic research, publishing peer-reviewed papers, and mentoring students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. My background is in parasitology, biotechnology, and zoology, but I’m equally confident teaching general biology at school and university level. I specialise in breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable explanations — whether you're preparing for exams, writing a dissertation, or trying to understand research papers.
I’ve worked with students from a variety of academic backgrounds, including those who:
