About Lauren
Hello! I'm Lauren and I am excited to help you achieve your academic goals. I am currently a PhD student and research how we can get people to move more and sit less. I love science and have a BSc and MSc in kinesiology.
When I'm not doing school work, I am usually walking my dog and listening to podcasts. I am also training for my first half marathon.

I have over 5 years of teaching at a post-secondary level. I believe that it's important to have a good rapport and relationship with my students so that they feel comfortable asking questions about topics or content they don't understand.
I recognize that everyone studies and learns differently and I try to provide different types of explanations, examples, or activities to help my students learn and integrate their knowledge.
A typical session with me would include a short review of the previous week to identify what things have gone well and where we need to further explore a topic, followed by an agreement between myself and the student on what we will cover during the current session. The middle part of the session will include reviewing course material and working through practice problems or examples. The session will wrap up with a short planning session about what the student will accomplish before our next session.
I can provide tutoring for high school and undergraduate students.
