About Aishwariya
I have studied BSc (Zoology) and MSc (Biochemistry) from the prestigious Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, Gujarat. I have been a gold-medallist during my BSc. and understand the importance of perseverance, hard-work and determination. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Bangalore. My teaching experience is below:
(1) Student-Buddy program (Sept-Dec: 2016-17, JNCASR):
The program focused on introducing research to 11th and 12th Grade students from local schools. Participation required the “buddy” to spend an entire day with the school “student” and involve them in daily activities in the lab.
(2) Teaching assistance (2017-19, JNCASR): Advance Neurobiology + Basic Chronobiology:
Assisted teaching undergraduate and junior graduate students, some basic concepts in neurobiology and circadian timekeeping in organisms.
(3) Laboratory practical assistance (2017-19, JNCASR):
Assisted teaching multiple batches of undergraduate and junior graduate students, basic fly genetics through simple experiments and fly husbandry, as part of their courses at JNCASR.
(4)Storyboarding: Worked with Edukite Private Learning Ltd., to develop e-learning content for 11th and 12th grade biology modules (April-June, 2012)
