About Axita

I am a dedicated and passionate Biotechnologist with a strong academic background, holding a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD in Biotechnology. My journey through scientific research and teaching has given me a deep understanding of Biology and a genuine enthusiasm for helping students succeed. I have experience teaching and supporting students at different levels, including early university years. Over the years, I’ve learned how to explain challenging topics in a clear, structured, and student-friendly way, which helps learners feel confident rather than overwhelmed. I take great pride in being patient, approachable, and committed to every student’s progress. My teaching style focuses on breaking down complex ideas, encouraging curiosity, and creating a comfortable environment where students feel safe to ask questions and explore new concepts. About the lesson

My tutoring approach is centred around clarity, structure, and student confidence. I believe every learner is different, so I personalise each lesson to match the student’s pace, strengths, and learning style. I break complex biological concepts into simple, relatable explanations using examples, diagrams, and real-world applications that make the subject easier to understand. I use a combination of: Concept-based learning to build strong foundations Exam-focused preparation, including past papers and mark-scheme strategies Active learning techniques, such as questioning, quick quizzes, and interactive explanations Visual aids (drawings, pathways, processes) to make topics memorable Each lesson is typically 60 minutes, but I can also offer 45- or 90-minute sessions depending on the student’s needs. I hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD in Biotechnology, with several years of academic and research experience. My background allows me to explain difficult topics—like genetics, molecular biology, physiology, and cell biology—in a clear and structured way. My lessons are ideal for: University foundation or first-year students needing support in basic biological sciences Students of any age who want to strengthen their understanding of Biology I aim to create a supportive, engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and gain the confidence they need to improve their performance and enjoy the subject.
