About Hayden
I am a sophomore in high-school with 3 years in school band experience, and a year in marching band, a year in chorus and 2 years in piano classes. I’ve been self studying guitar and piano for 4-5 years now, and participated in lessons myself for 2 years and was a soloist and was a student teacher in piano classes. I was also a soloist in marching band for our shows. I have been giving lessons here and there to relatives and close friends for about 2 years now. I adore teaching and I love watching people sprout from the ground and blossom, and watching them be proud of themselves.

I first base my teaching philosophy on what the child enjoys and knows. I allow people to pace themselves, while pushing them (non aggressively) and use positive reinforcement and praise for encouragement. I typically change per student with however style seems fit, usually from super beginners, to more intermediate players is when you’ll see change.
I let people learn how they like, as long as the end result is well, as I personally have quite an unconventional way of learning; but it’s what’s comfortable for me. Being patient is very important to me, as something new can be incredibly frustrating at first. However fast a student wants to learn, whether they are naturally inclined to music or not, is also very important.
