About Fiza
Hi, I’m Fiza, a pre-med student with a strong academic background in science, math, and reading-intensive courses. I’ve taken several higher-level classes in these areas and have gained hands-on research experience, including working in a lab focused on ovarian cancer and disease markers. These experiences have strengthened both my understanding of complex topics and my ability to explain them clearly to others. I’ve also been involved in tutoring and mentoring, where I’ve helped students build confidence and improve their skills. I want to become a doctor, and a big part of that for me is learning how to support and teach others in a patient and thoughtful way. As a tutor, I focus on helping students truly understand concepts by breaking them down into simple steps and adapting to their individual learning style. My sessions are one-on-one and personalized, starting with what a student is struggling with and building toward independent problem-solving and confidence. I work best with middle school, high school, and early college students who need support in algebra, arithmetic, and introductory science, and my goal is always to make learning feel more manageable and less overwhelming.

As a tutor, I focus on helping students truly understand concepts by breaking them down into clear, simple steps and adapting to each student’s learning style. My sessions are one-on-one and personalized, typically starting with a quick review of what the student is struggling with, followed by guided practice and independent problem solving to build confidence. What sets me apart is my patience and ability to explain material in a way that feels manageable and less overwhelming, especially from my experience as a pre-med biology student. My lessons are best suited for middle school, high school, and early college students needing support in algebra, arithmetic, and introductory science.
